Grimsby

Grimsby, Ontario is a town bound by the Niagara escarpment and Lake Ontario in the Niagara Region. This growing town is only 45 minutes from the Greater Toronto Area and has its roots in farming and agriculture.

As the midpoint between St. Catharines and Hamilton, Grimsby has grown significantly in the past decade as these cities grow as well. Only a 15-minute drive from both of these populous areas, Grimsby offers all the benefits of living near a city with the added bonus of a quaint downtown and family-friendly neighborhoods.

Because the town is nestled between the escarpment and Lake Ontario, Grimsby presents the unique opportunity to live in a Lakefront condominium or grand estate, or in a picturesque escarpment-side family home with breathtaking views. The charming downtown is home to a selection of quality restaurants and shops and is a frequent stop for wine lovers on a tour of the local wine country. Bordering Beamsville, Grimsby is less than a 10-minute drive from over 20 wineries, many of which feature award-winning wines and restaurants located on site.

Cyclists and hikers can take advantage of the Bruce Trail up the escarpment or visit wine country for a guided tasting tour of all the local hot spots.

Don’t forget about the waterfront! Established neighborhoods with mature, elegant tree-lined streets, as well as brand new condos, share the gorgeous view of Lake Ontario and the Toronto skyline. Visitors and locals can enjoy the views from Murray Street Park and Whittaker Park or take the family for a picnic and a swim at the public beach at Nelles Beach Park.

With plenty of greenspace and parks, including Coronation Park downtown, you’re never far from the peaceful serenity of nature in Grimsby.

Don’t wait too long if you’re considering Grimsby—the natural boundaries of the lake and escarpment leave only limited space for premium future developments!
